Don Post - Glowin Ghoulies Carlise Mask (Vinyl)
Don Post Studios brought the art of mask-making to multiple generations over their years of operation. As the new caretakers of the Don Post brand we have sourced and refreshed many of the iconic designs to bring them to a new audience and make them available for the first time in many years.
The Glowin Ghoulies masks are black vinyl with glow-in-the-dark paint. Paint charges under sunlight or UV light, and reacts to black light for enhanced brightness.

Creepy mask! Excellent quality. Great vintage look. Displays well.
When I was a kid, my older brother took me downtown to a costume store, crammed with all sorts of wonderful weirdness, during the Halloween season. I was entranced to say the least.
It was the spectacular (and expensive) Don Post Studios monster masks which particularly got my attention. There was one that really held me spellbound, a ghoulish, greenish-grey mask named simply "Carlisle." Its tag said it glowed in the dark.
I wasn't exactly sure who, or what, Carlisle was supposed to be. I still don't know. He was vaguely Frankenstein Monster-ish, with a melancholic expression. I suppose, upon reflection, that my angsty young self somehow sympathized with him.
Carlisle benignly haunted me ever after. I never forgot about that very special, gloomy glow-in-the-dark mask.
And, now, thanks to you fine folks, Carlisle and I are together at last!
