Darren's artistic skills started and a young age when he became obsessed with movie monsters, dinosaurs and sharks. Films like Star Wars, Jaws and An American Werewolf In London had a huge influence on the young artist. This passion for creating led him to become a student of Oscar winning make-up artist Dick Smith. In the years to follow he was mentored by master sculptor and movie FX Legend Henry Alvarez.
