About Fallout
In an alternate 1950s-flavored future, the world went nuclear-crazy… and then, on October 23, 2077, it actually went nuclear. The Great War lasted two hours and left Earth a glowing wasteland. Before the bombs, Vault-Tec built giant underground Vaults that were mostly twisted social experiments. Eventually the doors open and you step out into the ruins. From there it's pure post-apocalyptic freedom: scavenge, shoot, or sweet-talk your way through factions like the Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave, the NCR, and Caesar's Legion, while dodging ghouls, super mutants, and deathclaws. Every choice shapes the wasteland, all wrapped in dark humor, retro kitsch, and the series' bitter motto: "War never changes."
